Andre Fabre ponders Waldgeist future plans

No decision has been made over if Prix de lArc de Triomphe winner Waldgeist will operate again.
The five-year-old does have the choice of running in the Breeders Cup this past year, since he did, but retirement was mooted at the aftermath of Sundays success.
Having been on the three occasions they had fulfilled behind Empower, he came with a determined run down the middle of the trail under Pierre-Charles Boudot from developing background using a Arc win to prevent John Gosdens filly.
His future is undetermined yet, I want to share it with the owners and see, Fabre informed the PA news bureau.
He is perfect now, in excellent form, Ive very happy with him.
This was a great ride by Pierre-Charles. He arrived wider to the greater ground, the more at Longchamp matches him and he waited patiently for the moment.
Everything went well, it was a excellent moment.
Fabre was by Victor Ludorum who kept his unbeaten record in the Jean-Luc Lagardere, but the filly Savarin found the testing ground against her at the Marcel Boussac.
I was concerned about running Victor Ludorum on the ground because he had never faced it before – either in the afternoon or on the path – so I was delighted that he proved he could handle it, said Fabre.
He won nicely. He has a bright future. Well keep him for the French Guineas and a Classic effort.
Savarin did not manage the ground at all, She is a light filly with a beautiful action and she could not handle that kind of ground.
She will remain next year, but she shouldnt be over-raced.
